    User Reviews

    Like the laptop so far.

    Definetly worth the price

    Pros

    Sound,dolby digital

    Cons

    display.something wrong.Not impressed

    Overall happy with the purchase

Amazon's shipping is very impressive.I received the product in 15 hrs.

    Very nice so far

When Acer teams up with AMD's Turion II Ultra processor the laptop that is produced can't be beat for the price. The laptop is fast with 4 GB RAM,the HD is large(500GB)and although this particular model with 15.6 inch screen and full keypad with numerics might be a little heavier than some other models it is still light enough to carry around without a problem. Having wirelss built in has been wonderful. It seems more reliable than wired and has been without problems. I never had that before and now I see why more and more people are turning to wireless.

I have only had this laptop for a few weeks now and have been running all sorts of games on it with no problems whatsoever…. Not “shoot 'em up” games but games like Myst, Dream Chronicles, Mahjong Deminsions Deluxe, and hidden object games. The thing could run more demanding games but I am not interested in those.

If you are on a tight budget for a laptop, the Acer AS5542-5547 is the way to go…reliable, well built and reasonably priced especially through Amazon.Acer AS5542-5547 15.6-Inch Laptop (Blue) — Can't beat Acer + AMD

I am quite happy with how the computer functions. It works great for my Guild Wars. I really do not have any problems with it, except it being a PC and needing all these programs to help the registry issues and watching for viruses and spyware, but I have AVG installed and that seems to be working well. — Satisfired

    Pros:

    * Big screen

    * 4G of RAM

    * fast dual core processor

    * good speakers

    * looks nice

    * light

    * quiet fan, stays pretty cool

    Cons:

    * Sometimes the power cord pops out a little without you noticing, so it starts running on battery power

    * Weird screen resolution of 1366×768, doesn't play nice with mupen64plus at full screen resolutions

    * No ExpressCard slot. On my last laptop (an HP tx1000z) the onboard wireless stopped working after about a year, so having an ExpressCard slot was invaluable. I figured a laptop this size would have one, but I didn't read the specs closely enough.

    Depends:

    * Has a full size keyboard, but I actually prefer smaller keyboards since they make it easier to type with one hand while using a mouse with the other

After I got it I booted Windows to make sure everything worked, then I installed Ubuntu 10.04 64bit. Everything works pretty good (though I haven't tried to use the webcam), the only problem is the wireless (ath9) drivers which causes the connection to stop working or disconnect randomly. — Pretty good laptop

Toshiba launched its brand new Libretto W100 on Monday this week in Tokyo. This new device is in direct competition with Apple’s notebook PC iPad and Amazon’s e-book reader Kindle.

The unique features of this device are that it can be used like the standard notebooks with keyboards. Yet on giving it a 90 degree turn, it will double up as an e-book reader. It is touch screen based with two 7-inch touchscreens and runs on an Intel Pentium U5400 processor. One touch screen serves as a virtual key board when using the device as a PC. Amazon’s Kindle software for Windows, which allows users to download and read books will be preloaded in the device. It currently has a battery life of 3 hours. Its basic configuration is that it operates at 1.2 GHz, 2 GB of DDR3 memory and a 64 GB SSD. It is also equipped with a 1-megapixel webcam, Bluetooth , MicroSD card reader, Wi-Fi, one USB port and a Windows 7 operating system. To get a better idea you can check out this video. It will currently be priced at $1,320 for Japanese users. The company plans to launch the product for sale in late August in Japan followed by similar launches in US, Europe and other markets.

The company has not yet entered into any kind of collaboration with content providers. Yet it will face stiff competition from Apple, Amazon and possibly Sony. It is costlier than Amazons Kindle ($489) and the cheapest iPad ($499). In defense for its product, Masahiko Fukakushi, president and CEO of Toshiba’s digital products and network unit, said, “Apple’s iPad is probably creating a new market in terms of consuming information, browsing and reading books. But when it comes to creation or production what we have been doing still has a lot of value. We want to continue to do both.”

The product has been announced at a date marking the completion of 25 years since Toshiba released the world’s first laptop in 1985. Toshiba is a name in the notebook PC market standing directly behind HP, Acer and Dell. For the moment it is enjoying success in this segment witnessing the highest yoy growth in the past 8 years this quarter. Let us see how much success this product will bring toToshiba. What do you think?

    Game Review: Foto Showdown

I made new Pix in the last couple of days – please tell me when you like them:

Gorilla mother with baby by Foto Martien

    Photo Website

When I first joined Associated Content, I couldn't wait to see my clout index increase. By employing the following techniques, I'm happy to report that my clout index catapulted from 1 to 4 in only two short weeks. It shot to 5 a couple of weeks after that.

If you just joined AC, hopefully these tips will do the same for you.

    Create great titles…
…that are punchy and pithy. Make them interesting enough for readers to want to know more. You clicked on this article because it was something pertinent that you wanted to know more about, right?

If your headline doesn't lend itself to succinctness, at least make the first 3 or 4 words count. Depending on where your article's headline is eventually listed, like in AC's library page, the ending may be abbreviated due to space constraints. So the beginning may be the only portion of your title you have to entice readers to read on.

Walk the line between good taste and tabloid-tacky headlines, though. I originally titled one piece “My Night with Dave Chappelle,” knowing it would intrigue folks.

By the time it made it to press, the AC editors changed it to “My Night with Dave Chappelle on Tour,” which was really more appropriate. After all, the guy does have a wife and kids…

Also, make sure to check out the AC 101 page for other great articles that teach CPs how to write with search engine optimization and keyword density in mind.

Make subheads or the “Enter” key your friend.
Bolded section headers break up an article into readable chunks with good amounts of white space, and are more visually appealing. I don't know about you, but my eyes go loopy at pages and pages of unbroken text, unless it is something truly fascinating to read. If not, my mind says, “Forget it!”

With subheads, the reader can quickly scan over subjects the piece contains and pick out the sections they want to read, the fervent desire being all of them. A fully read and thoroughly enjoyed article is more likely to draw great comments, five-star votes, e-mail referrals and thus more page views.

    Hit the links!
As you've already noticed, I've hyperlinked and referenced a few of my other articles in this piece, and made it easy for readers to read their descriptions and click on them.

Don't go crazy with links to the point where your whole article is baby blue, but at least capitalize on the attention one piece may get to promote your others.

    Write amazing text.
Despite the temptation to throw together 10 so-so articles a day just to get paid more money right away, it's better to focus on one extremely well-written piece.

Composing high-quality content will bode better for you in the long run in terms of your writing career, especially if you're using your AC pieces to show editors who are hiring for freelance gigs. You only want your name to be associated with your best work, not pieces filled with grammatical and factual errors.

I spent days researching and writing the Dave Chappelle piece, much more than would seem warranted for only 10 bucks. Lo and behold, after bookmarking it to the high heavens (see more on bookmarking below), someone picked it up in the forum section of Dave Chappelle's official website and called it decent!

    Decent! Woo hoo!

Days of blood, sweat and tears for a “decent” review! I took it, though, because I know if I would've thrown together some ad hoc crap, no one would have passed it around.

Soon thereafter – only two weeks after joining AC – I saw my clout index increase to four. The Chappelle piece even made the “Editor Picks” page on AC, along with the fast freebie mentioned next. (Non sequiturs be damned!)

    Write a few fast freebies…
…that are topical and short, but still well-written and researched. The day before the controversial 13th season of ‘Survivor' premiered, I wrote a short piece called “Segregated ‘Survivor' – Island Life in Black and White (and Yellow and Red)” and selected the No Payment/Non Exclusive option.

(As an aside, why would anyone ever choose the No Payment/Exclusive option?)

Anyhoo, lickety split the ‘Survivor' piece was published, immediately after I clicked on the “save content” button. It was scary how fast that thing was published, but thank the good Lord that I had proofed it thoroughly.

It's the same technique I used for  “Why You Should Watch Grey's Anatomy's Season 3 Premiere,” which landed in the second position of Google News' search results for “Grey's Anatomy” and quickly helped to bump my clout index up to 5.

    Bookmark your pieces to death.
As soon as you get that “You've been published!” email in your inbox, click on as many of the bookmarking sites listed beneath your article (and more) that your sleepy eyes will let you muster, letting the cyberworld know it's out there to behold.

I always like to add the url of my most recent piece to Google, a site that performs “fresh crawls” at interval timings that they don't disclose. But it must be pretty often, because the same day that I added my ‘Survivor' piece to the fray, a sociology student found it pretty high up in Google News' search results.

    Play tag!
Even before you get published, whilst still in the seemingly lllooooonnnnngggg waiting-to-be published phase, go to the “My Content” tab, click on “e” to edit your piece, and click on the “e” to edit the photo you've attached.

Do this after you've found and attached a legal, spankin' good image from some site like Google Images, Free Stock Photos, Geek Philosopher, Big Foto, First Gov, stock.xchng, Big Stock Photo or Getty Images and added a witty caption.

There's a “keywords” spot there that allows you to enter terms that folks searching for images might stumble across, and therefore find your lovely article along with it.

Enter as many keywords or “tags” that are applicable and allowed when tagging both your images on AC and your articles when bookmarking them at other sites.

Some places only allow 3 to 5 tags, while others allow as many as possible. Make all your tags count, and make them topical.

For example, the tags for my “Top Ten Songs by James Blunt” piece were:

2006, baby, back to bedlam, blount, blunt, blunted, chasing time, Christian, Concert, death, girlfriend, High, james blunt, james blunt live, jimmy, marriage, military, new cd, petra, Nemcova, model, thin, laxatives, sex, tears and rain, tickets, Tour, wife, world tour, you're beautiful

I entered these tags (where allowed on both the images and bookmarking sites) because I knew folks would be searching for James Blunt's most recent touring info. Which reminds me, another great way to check what people are looking for is to…

    …check the hot searches.
Find out exactly how to write your tags (and get inspiration for new articles) by checking out the sites that track what people are looking for.

Bookmark Yahoo Buzz and check it often to see exactly what search phrases folks are typing in quotes, then use those phrases as your tags, where appropriate.

Technorati also has a top searches and top tags list developed by tracking millions of blogs. And then there are the AOL Hot Searches, where you can click on the “more” arrow to see the top 20 hottest searches, and their change from the previous day.

Lastly, there's dogpile  and metaspy , a couple of sites that I don't use all that often, but they do show you in real time the truly varied (and sometimes weirdly horrifying) stuff people are searching for. It might be worth a try to keep dogpile open in a small window as it scrolls and check for consistent themes on any given day.

Examine your search ranking and find the right forums…
…where users are most likely to comment on your piece. As soon as a news story related to a piece you've published hits the front page of AOL or Yahoo or any other prominent news provider's page, leave a comment (if they offer a section to leave comments) that directs web-heads to your published piece.

Set up Google alerts to check for your byline (and/or article titles if your byline is a super-common name), so that you'll get emails alerting you when your search ranking rises.

For example, I set up as-it-happens alerts on “Paula Neal Mooney” so that I could tell how effective it was to seed my stories on the sites listed beneath my published articles in AC.

This is how I found out that the Dave Chappelle piece had been mentioned in his site's forum. It helps to know what's worked in the past, so that you can duplicate your marketing efforts (which you should spend as much time on as writing) in the future.

Use your AC profile to market your articles.
Personally, I tend to be more intrigued by (and therefore more apt to click on) profiles that contain the writer's photo, but I understand the many reasons why some folks don't want to put their faces out there.

Photo or not, you can use your AC profile page to market your work efficiently. Use all three Affiliation URL spots to lead people somewhere, either to your blog, online business, or other articles. My third affiliation says “Celebrity Stuff,” and users who click on it are led straight to my latest published AC article about a celeb.

I even use the “Interests” field to list the exact title of my favorite article of the moment, so that when users click on it, they are taken to AC's search page, with my piece near or at the top. It's just one more prominent spot to place your articles' headlines for those who don't scroll all the way down your CP page.

    Write from your gut.
This is really the numero uno tip on creating content that people want to read. If you're passionate about a subject, it will translate on the screen. Sometimes I write from AC's suggested topics, yet other times I go in a completely different direction and pour out the piece that's nagging at my insides.

Like this puppy that you're reading now, which made my fingers fly across the keyboards, amazing me over 1,600 words later.

I find that my writing flows better when I'm heeding my “Holy Ghost-writer,” and I'm more apt to do intensive (okay, obsessive!) research about the kinds of things that interest me the most. Joseph Campbell wasn't lying when he said to follow your bliss. I say follow it all the way to the bank!

Write to suit the AC editors.
Make everyone's life easier by creating error-free content that editors don't have to spend much time correcting.

I also notice that the AC folks tend to favor paying for service pieces like “Ten Legitimate Ways for Stay-at-Home Moms to Make Their Own Money,”  “You Cheated – Should You Confess?” and “40 Things to Do Before You Turn 40″ as opposed to self-aggrandizing stuff.

For example, my Cleveland/Akron Family magazine reprint,  “Are Smart Stay-at-Home Moms Wasting Their Brains?” was deemed one of the rejected “op-ed pieces on well covered or general topics” with “too short of a shelf-life” by AC, so I published it for free just to get the page views.

Ironically, it ended up as a “Editor Picks” selection on AC's home page for days.

Get on the front page of AC…
…by not only writing the kind of compelling text that will land you there, but by emailing “an image of yourself that is at least 300 pixels wide to admin@associatedcontent.com,” which, according to AC's blog, will give you “a strong chance of being featured on our front page.”

Oh, those CMs are loving me right about now…but to redeem myself for filling up their email box with put-me-on-the-front-page-please pix is the last tip to…

…pitch your piece and move on.
Yes, you've spent days and days writing your brilliant baby, and you can't wait for it to be published. Literally.

In your impatience, you shoot off an annoying email (I'm embarrassed to say I know this from firsthand knowledge) containing the text of your piece to AC's admin, hoping to move your article to the front of the hopper.

Calm down. Instead, go watch some TV, take a walk, or talk to your friends. Eventually, those swamped CMs with get back to you with the exciting “Offer from Associated Content,” or the let-em-down gently, empathetically titled “Reply from Associated Content.”

In the meantime, doing other stuff will provide you with the inspiration to get that next article written and in the hopper – one so fascinating that folks will click on it and send your clout index into the stratosphere!

I made some shots in the last days – please tell me when you like them:

Senior portraits are a big money make in smaller photography studios. For some photography studios, high school seniors are their main customer base. Every photographer knows there is money in senior portraits, the question is, how do you market to them? Their young, you're old; what do you do?

Let's look at some ways to get some great buzz marketing going for your senior portrait photography studio.

Senior Portraits – Get in the Seniors Mind

Knowing who your market it is is easy, knowing what they like is the hard part. You need to know what parents and seniors are looking for in senior portraits. To do this, consider creating a focus group.

Recruit ten to fifteen seniors and their parents to participate in your focus group. In return for their participation, offer them free sittings and free prints.

If possible, you will want to separate the parents from the seniors. Seniors tend to not express their opinion in front of their parents. Have one of your assistants conduct the focus group with the parents, while you work with the seniors. This way, you will get better responses from both.

    Senior Portraits –

Some ideas of things to bring up during the focus group are; prices, packages, locations, props, and marketing.

    Senior Portraits – Prices

When discussing price with the parents, show them a list of packages and have them tell you how much they would be willing to pay them. You could also show them a list of packages with three different prices associated with each package. Then have them circle the amount they think is most reasonable. This will give you a good idea of what your target market is willing to spend and will help you price your senior portraits accordingly.

    Senior Portraits – Packages

Some people like packages, while other like to order ala-carte. Take a poll to see which is more popular. Share some ideas about packages such as, what seniors look for in a package, what size prints do they want more or less of, and what type of extras they might want. You will also need to get some idea of what your customers are willing to pay for individual prints.

    Senior Portraits – Locations

You can never have too many locations to shoot at. Have your seniors recommend places they'd like to have their portraits taken at. If there are a few places that get a lot of results, think about offering a special for it. You could give a discount for all the seniors that book their sitting for a certain day at the particular location. This way you wont be going back to that location every other day.

    Senior Portraits – Props

Props come and go like fashion and they can really ruin your reputation as a senior portrait photographer. Bring some prop catalogs to the focus group and have the parents and seniors look through them. Have them put red Xs by the props they like, the more red Xs, the more popular the prop. With props being so expensive, at least now you will know you bought the right one.

    Senior Portraits – Marketing Ideas

Seniors and their parents will surprise you with their marketing ideas and locations. Ask the seniors and their parents to suggest ideas about how to market to the rest of the community. Ask them to recommend some locations to place flyers and posters. If they are recommending the location, then you know there will be other seniors and families there as well.

These focus groups will help get a better idea of what the seniors and their families want. Assuming you do good work with their free senior portraits, this will also help your buzz marketing. Seniors and their parents will be talking about all your new ideas, prices, locations, etc. They will be excited that they helped you with your business. It will make them feel like part of the business. This in turn, will make them want to help it grow.

All and all, the senior portrait focus group is a sure fire way to build buzz marketing, get some great market research, and help build up your customer base. The only real costs involved are your time spent doing the free shoots and the prints. Your time is basically free and prints cost almost nothing. So, what are you waiting for?

The Scriv (our Creative Director for Video), came up with a very clever clip to promote David Ziser’s new online wedding photography class at KelbyTraining.com.

The class itself is an on location wedding shoot, shot live during an actual wedding, and it all unfolds as it happens with David shooting and teaching as he goes, so you see it all from start to finish.

It’s an incredibly unique and fascinating way to learn wedding photography (and people are just loving this class), so The Scriv wanted to do something equally unique and different, and so…well….he did.

NOTE: It’s really cute, but it does help if you know up front that David uses the term “Floof” to describe the act of lifting the back edge of the bride’s train and letting it catch some air, so it resettles nicely on the ground—nice and flat and full (which looks great in photos).

The Australian newspaper reports the tragic news that Australian fashion photographer Richard Bailey has died of cancer, aged 52.

Bailey's Studio 24, two floors above the CB office at 24 Hickson Road in Walsh Bay, was one of the hottest studios in Australia, well-known to the ad industry, particularly those with fashion-related accounts and was the venue for many a hot social event.

A Product Review of the HP Pavilion DV6830US 15.4″ Laptop: A Mid Range Consumer Notebook

    Ook een eigen weblog?

Panasonic LCD Fernseher bei Amazon bestellen

Multimedia notebooks are as popular as ever thanks to their incredible versatility. While they're large enough and powerful enough to become a desktop replacement they also have the added benefit of being portable. Because of this we're seeing more and more offices move away stocking desktops and to the more portable 17″+ notebooks. I guess they're hoping the employees will take their work home with them? Well I have gotten my hands on a fine example of these large notebooks; the HP Pavilion DV9830US 17″ multimedia laptop. I'm going to give it a quick review but first lets layout some of the basics.

    Hardware:

Imaging: a bezel integrated 1 megapixel webcam (yielding an image about as good as a mobile phone's camera)

Processor: 1.83 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T5550

Storage Space: a 320 GB hard drive

RAM: 4GB of RAM (this is the maximum allowable by the motherboard)

Optical drive: a Blu-ray ROM drive with CD R/RW and integrated dual-layer DVD +/- burner

Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce 8600M GS (using up to a whopping 2303MB of dedicated and system memory)

    Dimensions: 15.1″ x 11.2″ x 1.6″ and weighs in at 7.7 pounds

This notebook about has it all. It is quite powerful with the 1.8GHz Intel operating as its power plant. It also has a great video card allowing for most games to be played flawlessly. Surprisingly when you take this notebook on the road it also gets up to a total of 2.5 hours of battery life. This is astounding to me since it is powering such a large display and has such strong performing hardware. I love that it has a bluray drive, this allows the consumer to enjoy high definition video, and it works great on trips (as long as the 7.7lbs notebook doesn't put your legs to sleep).

    Connectivity:

    Integrated Wireless

1 ethernet port (so that this notebook can connect to a wired network)

4 2.0 USB ports (this is used to connect peripherals ranging from input devices like mice and keyboards to devices such as printers, and MP3 players)

1 FireWire port (designed for high speed data transfer between other PC's or a digital camcorder)

1 HDMI output (so that this notebook can use HD televisions as a display)

1 VGA output (this is a typical monitor output)

1 S-Video output (this is used to connect to projectors or some compatible televisions)

1 ExpressCard slot (this is used to add hardware like a cellular modem or bluetooth adapter)

    2 Audio outputs / 1 Mic input

5 in 1 memory card reader (this allows the consumer to directly insert their solid state memory from mobile devices into the notebook)

This notebook has excellent connectivity. I love that it has the HDMI output. This means that you can take this notebook into the living room and use it as a BluRay player on your HD television. This will save you money if you don't currently have a next generation player. The good news is that Sony's BluRay has won the format war over HD DVD, so don't worry about this machine becoming antiquated. This is an excellent notebook for those looking for entertainment or a pure desktop replacement. If you're looking for mobility I would look elsewhere.

Best New Tech Gadgets for 2009

    Philips LCD Fernseher

Every year, technology changes and new tech gadgets are introduced to the public. Despite the economic downturn of 2008, consumers can expect to see innovations for all of their personal technological needs in 2009, from cell phones to laptop computers. Solid state technology will be used to create lighter, quieter tech gadgets with more memory capability in the coming year. Below is a list of some of the places this technology appears.

The Flip Mino HD Camcorder is one of the places where this new technology shows up. Considered the smallest camcorder, this pocketsize tech gadget holds up to 60 minutes of footage and even displays in widescreen. It boasts high resolution video with no glare and crisp sound. This devise can even be designed according to consumers' wishes. In order to learn about the different features that the camcorder offers and find out where this device can be obtained both online and in stores, visit the Flip Mino's official website at http://www.theflip.com/index_flip.shtml.

The Canon VIXIA HF11 video camera is another device offering new technological advances. Like the Flip Mino, it is smaller than the standard video camera and fits in the palm of the hand, making it lighter and easier to carry around. The VIXIA HF11 records in high definition, and a tape, DV-R, or hard drive is not needed to use this product. Instead, the camera uses SD memory cards and can record up to three hours of footage. It is still pretty expensive at $800. However, individuals interested in this high tech gadget can purchase it at Amazon.com.

Cell phones will also be lighter and have more memory in 2009. Nokia N97 phone has build-in GPS sensors and complete Internet access. This flat phone is an all-purpose device, with the ability to automatically update social networks. Users of this tech gadget will be able to chat, blog, and send and receive e-mails on their phone. This phone is also a music device, so consumers won't need an additional gadget like an IPod. Camera and recording technology on this phone will also be better. No longer will individuals have to put up with blurry images common with many cell phones. Their pictures and video are high resolution and can be stored in the memory of the phone. The Nokia N97 and other cell phones can be purchased at Amazon.com.

The ASUS EEE PC 100H is the latest in the latest in mini notebooks. It has many of the same features as other notebooks. Two key differences between this tech gadget and its predecessors are that it has a larger screen, 10 inches, and the keyboard is more spacious. These amenities give it an advantage over other notebooks. Users can place two windows side by side on the wider screen. This is especially useful if an individual has a job comparing two document. There is nothing more annoying than having to minimize and maximize window all the time. Another aspect of the new notebook is the stereo sound it produces. The downside of the ASUS EEE PC 100H is that it is at $200 more than other notebooks. Amazon.com offers a few bargains for this product.

The Laptop OX is not only a technological innovation in 2009, but it is a way to be charitable as well. This computer is the most versatile of any previous laptop and specifically built with education in mind. The technology industry and academics worked together to design this computer to be adaptable to extreme environments. Anyone who has a laptop knows that most of them require a cool area to work properly. This tech gadget, however, will work properly in hot and humid temperatures and in direct sunlight. It has built-in wireless, giving it the ability to work anywhere. Plus, for every Laptop OX purchased on Amazon.com, an additional computer will sent to a child from a developing country.

The basic trend in 2009 will be lighter tech gadgets with more memory and the ability to adapt to almost any circumstances. Additionally, although many of them still have a large price tag, most of the prices for everything from cell phones to computers are expected to fall as the year progresses. Like most devices, it is better to buy them later in the year than to buy them when they are hot off the assembly line.

Here are the recalled items this week:

    _________

    HP NOTEBOOK BATTERIES

Here’s my son’s HP Pavillion DV9000 laptop. it was glitchy ever since we bought it and tech support just kept blowing us off, blaming it on Vista (uhhh Vista, I’m gonna puke…). Right out of it’s one year warranty it shit the bed in the graphics department (nVidia crap was having issues) HP had extended the warranties on many of these but for some reason OURS WASN’T COVERED! For fucks sake, it was fucked up and they just said fuck off! We tried to think of some way to get some enjoyment out of this POS and this is what we came up with. ROT IN HELL HP!

@neocryptz I hope this guy was just useing the situation to make fun of hp and wan’t serious. No company is stupid enough to make this happen on perpouse. Most likely there is a setting that locks out certain colors or soemthing and it accidentally locked him out. A computer flaw does not mean racism. At most it means incopitence of the manufacturers if they programed it wrong. So I hope this is just a joke or he is pretty much just makeing a fool of himself.
